School Holiday Fishing Fun
It’s been school holidays down here, So dad I and Pa hit the water for our first trip. Headed off to Toolooa Bends on the Boyne River. Nice spot but the fishing was slow. Dad ended up getting 2 flathead and Pa caught a nice bream. No pics of the fish today. Next trip dad and I went over to Grahams Creek on Curtis Island. We pulled and threw out some prawns. It wasn’t long and dad had his first bream. A short time later I had a nice bream in the boat as well.
We decided to move to another spot which looked good. I threw out and about a minute later I was on, another bream to the boat. We sat here for a while and landed about 10 bream all up. Just before move on I hook a good one, my biggest bream so far.
Off to another spot where we landed a few more small bream. Dad said it was time to head home. On the way dad saw some rocks so we headed over and put the electric motor down for a quick flick with some lures. First cast and my old faithful Bass Pro got belted. A nice fight and my biggest flathead at 61cm.
We flicked along the bank a little bit more, but no more fish. Good day out and a nice spot. Looks like I out fished dad today.
